Who Qualifies For The Bursary Or Student Loan From NSFAS?



The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application process.

Applications are actually open and will shut on 15 December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant must fulfill the following requirements:

• Be a South African citizen or copyright who comes from a house with a combined gross domestic income that doesn't exceed R350 000 for each annum.

• People with disabilities qualify if their combined family money isn't going to exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients instantly qualify for funding and want not submit any proof of income.

*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent citizens from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for every annum.

Applicants are reminded to provide the correct Identity Document numbers, names, and surname, as reflected of their South African ID.

NSFAS only funds individuals who are researching or plan to research in a public university or TVET college in South Africa.

All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and nsfas login not to wait until the last day.
